Cosmetic Dental Services
At Linden House Dental Practice, your oral health is of utmost importance to us, but we also know how important it is that your teeth look good! Dental issues like staining, chips, cracks and uneven teeth can cause real damage to your self-esteem, making you cringe at photos of yourself or hesitate to look in the mirror.

Everyone deserves to feel the confidence to smile proudly, and our expert cosmetic dentists can help give your teeth a new lease of life. We always offer free consultations for those considering cosmetic treatments to make sure you’re fully informed before you go ahead.
Teeth Whitening
We use our teeth every day without fail, so a few stains here and there are to be expected. Brown or yellow stains can form on even the healthiest teeth after consuming certain foods and drinks, smoking tobacco, or even as you age. At Linden House Dental Practice we offer at-home whitening treatments to make your teeth sparkle brightly again in a matter of weeks.

Take-home whitening kits contain tailor-made dental trays and bleaching gels that you will wear during the day or whilst you sleep, over one to two weeks, depending on your chosen treatment.
Composite Bonding
There are endless ways for cracks and chips to form; whether it’s eating crunchy foods, drinking certain drinks, teeth grinding, opening bottles with your mouth or playing contact sports – the list goes on! Equally, if you have any large gaps or your teeth are an uneven shape, it can leave you feeling self-conscious.

Composite bonding is a transformative, non-invasive and cost-effective cosmetic treatment that can turn your teeth from worn and shabby to smooth and symmetrical in as little as an hour. Bonding uses a tooth-coloured composite resin material to smooth over cracks, chips and discolouration – it can also close gaps and correct the shape of uneven teeth. The composite material is putty-like, making it easy to mould and sculpt in any way necessary.

First, we will prepare the surface of your teeth to ensure the bonding will stick – then we apply the composite resin and shape it carefully over your teeth before hardening it with a UV light.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are either metal, porcelain or ceramic – they act as natural-looking caps that fit over the visible part of your tooth if it is broken, decayed or weak. Unlike fillings, crowns restore strength to your entire tooth, rather than just a portion of it – they are an effective way to improve the functionality and appearance of your teeth.
First, we prepare your tooth by gently removing any existing fillings and polishing it to an appropriate shape whilst you are comfortable under local anaesthetic. Then, we’ll take impressions and/or digital scans to make sure the crown matches your teeth perfectly and place a temporary version whilst we create your permanent one. If cared for correctly, crowns can last for up to 15 years.
Veneers
Dental veneers are a natural-looking, long-lasting and minimally-invasive way to restore the appearance and function of damaged, decayed or imperfect teeth. We can use different materials like ceramic, porcelain or composite, depending on your requirements. Veneers can transform the shape, colour, size and position of a single tooth or multiple teeth.

First, we prepare your teeth for treatment by gently removing some of your enamel from the outer layer of your tooth to ensure the veneers fit on smoothly and are the right thickness to blend in perfectly with your natural teeth. In some cases, no preparation or removal is required at all. Then we’ll take impressions of your teeth to create your veneers, before fitting them using a dental adhesive.
White Fillings
White fillings use composite resin material to repair the damage left by tooth decay, grinding or chewing hard foods. They are not only a popular alternative to silver, ‘amalgam’ fillings, which many find unsightly due to their dark, noticeable appearance, but actually a more minimally invasive option too, as less tooth needs to be removed to repair the tooth.
It is often quite impossible to spot white fillings as we colour-match the material to your natural teeth, making them a discreet solution that can last for up to ten years.
